Who am I and why does my opinion matter?

Lets start off easy, who am I?

I am a senior software engineer with nearly 2 decades of experience. My languages of choice have evolved over the years but are currently Go and Typescript. I am planning to pick up Zig this next year.

Why does my opinion matter?

Frankly it doesn’t, at least not any more or less than anyone elses. I am not here to give you absolute facts, to teach you anything, or to even always be correct. This blog is strictly for opinion pieces. Don’t just take my opinion, or anyone elses opinion as an absolute truth. Do your own research and self reflection on issues.

What is The Stark Opinion?

As of this writing, The Stark Opinion is new. For years, I have grown weary of the constant bad actors in the tech field who repeatedly get away with the same transgressions. In the tech industry, we seem to have a very short memory and are often willing to forgive even the worst offenses if the technology is useful enough. However, I have decided to start this blog to keep a journal of these acts.
